About the Learning in Practice Award

Since 2011, the Workforce Game Changers Awards have recognized high-potential young professionals, under the age of 40, who are making their mark on the HR profession. Game Changer award winners are a diverse group representing some of the best HR practitioners and strategists who are dedicated to pushing the profession forward with innovative people-management practices.

Nomination FAQs

To be eligible for nomination, the nominee of your application must be a workplace leader under the age of 40 at the time of publication, which is July 1, 2018.
Yes. More than one application may be submitted from the same organization.

There are no application fees for this award.

No. All submissions must be entered into the online submission portal for consideration.
To be considered for judging, nominators must submit a completed nomination form via the online submission portal. Nominations must be submitted before 11:59 p.m. CST on the closing date. Nominators can download the nomination worksheet, which includes instructions and applications, in advance. Completed applications must be submitted via the online submission portal.

The Game Changers Awards were developed to recognize innovative rising stars for their positive impact on the present and future of the HR profession.

Only a select few young professionals working in HR or related fields are selected as Game Changers. Game Changers are recognized industry thought leaders who have gone on to write pieces in Workforce magazine and have spoken at major HR conferences.
Game Changers are considered leaders in the field. Making the list is an accomplishment that Game Changers are happy to promote as they look to advance their careers.

Winner FAQs

Winners will be personally notified in late March 2018, and the general announcement of all winners will appear in the July/August 2018 issue of Workforce magazine.
Award winners will receive a specially designed award, custom press kit and winner logo. They will also be recognized in a special section in the July/August issue of Workforce magazine.
If your nominee receives a Workforce Game Changers award, tell the world! We will provide you with a custom press release and media kit to spread the news about your nominee’s recognition. Winners will receive a custom engraved award shipped directly to their office. The winner’s story will also be featured on Workforce.com and a special section in the August Workforce magazine Issue.

Judging FAQs

After the nomination window closes, all completed nominations will be reviewed by a panel of judges that’s primarily composed of the Workforce editorial department.
Judging occurs immediately following the nomination close date.
